Solid wood, all the way through
Every table in this collection is made of solid hardwood, not veneer or particleboard. That matters in ten years, not on delivery day. A solid wood top can be sanded and refinished, it handles daily use, and it ages instead of wearing out. We pair it with steel or wood bases, then build each table to order in Montreal. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for you.
White oak, walnut or yellow birch?
White oak is bright, tight-grained and very durable, the classic choice for a table that sees homework, dinners and everything in between. Walnut is darker and richer, with a warmth that suits more formal rooms. Yellow birch is a Quebec hardwood with a soft, luminous grain and the most accessible price of the three. All three are available across most of our models: Klein, Cournot, Colbert, Allais, Miller, Valla and the extendable Taylor.
What size dining table do you need?
Plan for about 24 inches of table length per person, and keep at least 36 inches between the table and the wall so chairs can move. As a rough guide, a 60" table seats 4 to 6, a 72" seats 6, an 84" seats 6 to 8, a 96" seats 8 and a 108" seats 8 to 10. If your guest list changes with the seasons, an extendable table like the Taylor grows by up to 30 inches. You can also browse by capacity: 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 people.

Our tables are designed and built in our own workshop in Montreal, then delivered across Canada [à valider]. You can see and touch them at our showrooms on Parc Avenue in Montreal and on Carlaw Avenue in Toronto. Each order also plants trees through our reforestation program.

Is a solid wood dining table worth it?
If you plan to keep it, yes. Veneer and laminate tables cost less up front but can't be refinished once damaged. A solid wood table can be sanded and restored, and often outlives the house it was bought for.
